We have been learning so much it just makes us more and more curious about the world around us... throughout Spring 1 we collected ideas of topics we wanted to learn more about and on the last Tuesday of the half term we got to take over the timetable for the day and had the opportunity to dig deeper into our chosen subjects.
Some of the areas of learning we chose to explore deeper were:
Science - living, dead, never alive: we wanted to know more about the existence of dinosaurs, aliens and unicorns.
History/Science - learning about the First Moon Landing made us inquisitive about space and the solar system.
Geography - continents - we wanted to find out more about some of the animals that live in different continents.
We each chose our learning theme for the day and then explored it four ways:
We used non-fiction books to research facts and find out more information on our chosen topics.
We used water colour paints to create a piece of artwork based on our research.
We wrote a creative story, drawing a story map and retelling it to our friends, based around our chosen themes.
and we used clay to explore the textures and form of our learning.
