Week 2: World Explorer pack looks at the different Physical Features that can be found around the world.

 

This week we look at the different types of places in our world from the coldest to the hottest.

We think about different habitats like the rainforest and deserts and the features that are specific to these places.

Week 3: World Explorer pack looks Weather and Climate.

 

This week we look at the different types of weather and how it varies throughout the year and depending on where you are in the world.

Focusing on the United Kingdom, we look at the seasons and find out some of the geographical vocabulary for our everyday weathers.

Week 4: Our country up close

This week we look closer at the United Kingdom, the capital cities and the different human and physical features we see. 

Week 5: Food and Farming

This week we look at where the foods we eat grow and using our knowledge of continents and countries we will locate the places our favourite foods grow on a map. 

We will think about farming and how we can ensure it is fair for everyone involved in the process and learn about the "fairtrade" mark, which we talked about before school closed. 

 

Week 6: Global Knowledge

This week we are exploring the whole world. How many countries can you name? can you list a country for each letter of the alphabet from A-Z. We will be matching landmarks of the world to their countries and there is a quiz matching countries to their flags. 

Week 7: Places

This week's world explorer pack looks at the world's oceans including the wildlife that live in them and the continents they surround. 

 

Week 8 - Physical Features

This week we are focusing on the coastlines of the UK. We all love a trip to the beach but can you name the features you would see there?

Which are natural - physical features and what has been made by man - human features?

Week 9: Weather and Climate

This week's Explorer pack looks at weather and climate. We will be creating a weather forecast for the UK and comparing our weather with other areas of the world.

Week 10: Country Close Up

 

This week, we look at the United Kingdom. We will study the human and physical features of Northern Ireland as well has reading all about our capital city, London.

Week 11: Food and Farming

 

This week's explorer pack looks at how food is produced around the world. Read all about Kenya including about the weather and the sorts of foods they produce there.
