As part of our history topic this term, we visited The Fire Museum in Rochdale. We got to see how people put out fires many years ago. We looked at some of the basic equipment such as fire hooks and leather buckets which were used during the Great fire of London. We then learned about how firefighting equipment has developed and changed over the years.
Finally, we dressed up as firefighters and explored a modern fire engine before driving one ourselves on a simulator.
As you can see from the pictures, the children all had a wonderful time!
