    To celebrate All Saints Day, the children have been learning about why and how a person becomes a saint. They were able to share some facts about St Margaret of Cortona with everyone that visited Year 1, they were very impressed. 

    What is a Saint? " Help people." Ahmed.

    " The Pope makes them a Saint." Yennefer. " They are canonised." Eryk.   

    "St Margaret was born in Italy." George. 

    What is St Margaret the patron saint of?

    " Poor people." Jojo.

    " Children who do not have a mum and dad."  

    " A midwife for babies." Ruby.

    " No house." Michael.

    " Homeless people." Zaira.

    We have also created a portrait using different skills, tools and materials. This will be displayed on canvas and hung in the school hall for the whole school to enjoy!
