The Last Supper
‘And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” And likewise, the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.’ - Luke 22:19–20
During Religion lessons, we recalled the Last Supper and the lessons that Jesus taught his disciples about being a servant.
We thought about the importance of breaking the bread and sharing the wine and talked about how this is a symbol of Jesus’ love for us during mass.
We created some artwork based on the Last Supper to show Jesus' last meal with his disciples.
