Nina Simone

Year 2 have been learning all about the inspirational singer Nina Simone for Black History Month and how she tried to use her music to improve things for Black people.

Nina Simone said, "I didn't get interested in music, it was a gift from God."

She also said, "It is an artist's duty to reflect the times in which we live."
