The Servant King

Jesus came to serve not to be served.

In the Gospel of John 13:1-20 we read how Jesus washes the feet of his disciples. He told them, “I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.”

We have been thinking about what it means to have a SERVANT HEART.

We thought of practical ways in which we can help each other with simple tasks and discussed how it feels both to serve and to be served.

To Serve is to Love

To help someone up when they need.
To teach someone.
To find a pen when someone needs one.
To pull the chair out for someone.
To fasten someone's shoe lace.
To hold the door open for someone.
To share.
To invite someone who is lonely to join you.
To go and get something for someone.
To polish someone's shoes.
To pass someone a tissue.
To get someone's book for them.
