Each day the children in reception come together as part of God's family to listen to the word of God, someone is chosen to lead our worship each day. A candle is lit to welcome Jesus because, "Jesus is the light of the world" Nathan.
We listen to God's word from the bible and focus on a word such as, hope, dignity, respect, love, kindness..... The word chosen helps us to know what God wants to teach us, the children listen to scripture/story from the bible . We take the time to engage and reflect more deeply, responding prayerfully by holding our prayer heart and closing our eyes to reflect. We end with a prayer and a final message, keeping the scripture alive, the children are given a challenge where they can turn reflection into action and spread the good news of our Lord.
