The children enjoyed their day at the Science and Industry Museum and found out some interesting facts. They enjoyed learning about the cotton mills, watching fluffy cotton get stretched and spun into thread and listening to the clickerty-clack, clickerty-clack of the machinery. Noah was asked how old he was by the demonstrator: he replied, "5 years old." Noah was told that at his age he would be working in the cotton mills. The children also enjoyed looking at different engines and learning about what they needed to make them work.
The children tried simple experiments, explored light and shadows, materials and worked together on problem-solving activities. Lots of buttons were pressed and leavers turned to answer the questions, How? What and Why?
