Chinese New Year

The Children enjoyed learning all about Chinese New Year.  We listened to the story of The Great Animal Race and talked about 2024 being the year of the Dragon.  We even made our own dragons and Chinese lanterns.

 

We set up a Chinese Restaurant in the home corner.  The waitress took our order and we got to dress up in oriental clothing. 

We enjoyed tasting Chinese food in the classroom.  We tried noodles, rice, prawn crackers, sweet and sour sauce and soy sauce.
