What Makes Me Happy

Above shows the amazing artwork of Year 6 using their sketching, painting and symmetry skills.

Below is the journey that led to the final piece.

The task was set to create a piece of art work based on the them 'What Makes Me Smile.' To begin with the children looked at different artist's ideas of how to represent this, which led to the children really favouring the symmetrical printing style.

The children began to then design a mind map of what makes them happy.

Next the children practised their symmetry skills using line patterns and mirrors to check the symmetry was correct. This then progressed to completing animal pictures to further their skill.
