Healthy eating

Quorn taste day

Year three were overjoyed to be joined by a representative for Quorn. We were able to watch a live cooking demonstration whilst hearing about the benefits of Quorn not only for our bodies but also for the environment. We also learnt about what our body needs to be healthy and what makes a healthy dish. Some of the year three children were chosen to help cook some of the yummy dishes for the rest of our classmates and teachers. At the end of the session we were able to tuck in! We cannot wait to try out these recipes at home too.

Sale Sharks

Year Three were privileged to be joined by the Sale Sharks. They joined us to teach us how to play tag rugby and also how to lead healthy and balanced diets.

We were able to make healthy sandwiches using some ingredients and discuss why we had chosen each ingredient. Not only did we learn about our bodies, what keeps us healthy and how to play tag rugby, but we also got to enjoy some delicious sandwiches!
