Maths

The children have been learning about measurement and using standard units (such as a ruler) and non standard units (such as cubes or counters) to measure objects. The children practised using cubes to measure a selection of objects.

Using the double sided counters the children have been developing their understanding of odd numbers and counting in 2s.

During National Numeracy day we watched a live lesson with strictly come dancing star, Kazia. The children had so much fun following instructions to perform a sequence of dance moves before performing the whole dance. The children had to count their steps and moves to keep up with the professional dancer and number one from the television programme Numberblocks!
