Self Portraits

In September we drew Self Portraits.

Using mirrors and by looking at each other we looked at the proportions of our features. We were really surprised how far down the head the eyes actually are! This helped us to map out guide lines (which can be still seen on some of our portraits) on which to place our features.

We tried to think like as artists and this helped us to draw more accurately and avoid cartoon-ish features that we might normally draw when drawing for fun.
