On Friday Year 5 were given their new Education City home access passwords and usernames. This is a fantastic resource that covers a wide range of curriculum areas. Children are able to access games that link directly to curriculum objectives as well as learn screens and worksheets. When children log on they will be able to look in their MyCity homework area to find homework tasks that have been set specifically for them. Teachers are able to monitor when and how well these tasks are completed.
Children are also able to access a MyRevision. During lesson time we will complete a Year 5 test on Education City this will be automatically marked and analysed and a percentage score will be given. The website will then identify areas where improvement is needed and set a bank of games and activities for your child to access in their MyRevision area. This bank of games is tailored to your child so is a fantastic resource to use in order to help them at home.
Education City is best accessed on a laptop or a computer as most games need flash player to work. Some games are tablet friendly so can be accessed on iPads.
