As part of our Autumn and harvest topic, we looked at different fruits and vegetables. We discussed how during harvest time, the farmer collects (harvests) the vegetables and makes sure we have enough for the winter months when not much grows because of the cold weather.
We decided to use the vegetables to make some soup. The children helped to wash, slice and chop the vegetables. The vegetables were then cooked and blended to make the delicious soup. The children enjoyed making the soup... but more than that, they enjoyed eating it. So watch out, here at The Cathedral School, we may have a future junior masterchef contestant in our midst!
