Remote Learning

Updated September 2021

If your child has to isolate for the period of a ten day isolation period - your child will be taught with a blended approach remotely and hard pack copy of activities.

They will receive a zoom session with their teacher everyday at 9:15 to discuss the work to be completed each day and they will have a zoom session at 3:30 to discuss the child's work day.

The work will be put onto google classrooms and their will be a hard pack to collect as we know that some children and parents prefer this.

Please let school know if you would be unable to access google classroom for any reason.

If your child is isolating and is unable to attend school please notify us as soon as possible so that we can engage remote learning for your child, providing they are well enough to access it.

A work pack will be available to collect from school and remote learning via Google Classroom will take place daily for the duration of their absence.

A teacher zoom session will take place at the start of each day  - you will be invited via Google Classroom. This is a chance for the class teacher to speak to your child about how they are and to introduce the activities for the day. This is an opportunity for new learning to be taught. The work made available will follow the class curriculum so that your child is not missing any learning opportunities.

The class teacher will then follow up with a second zoom session at the end of the day to review the learning and address any misconceptions or difficulties.

In the unfortunate situation where a bubble, or whole school requires remote learning a similar process will be followed as per our remote learning plan.

School will communicate with parents at the earliest opportunity to notify of the need for remote learning to take place.

Please note - as always your child will be given a laptop to access google classrooms and the zoom sessions if they should need one
