DT

Pulleys and gears is our DT topic this half term.  Lovely to see our pupils working on things at home, this pulley actually lifts the pebbles in the bucket!

Looking at structures, we researched the longest, tallest and weirdest structures. We found out the best shape for a tall building and looked at the longest bridges and the materials they were made from. We investigated how to make the best bridge  and how to join structures effectively.

We were set the challenge of making the strongest table that we could to hold at least 100g. We could choose the materials to use and we used our knowledge of the best structures to design and make it.
