BBC Philharmonic Orchestra Visit
Year 2 were incredibly lucky to be able to be part of a workshop with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. They were able to learn about different instruments as well as hear the story of the Gingerbread Man retold through music. Some children were even able to become conductors, directing the tempo of the music that the orchestra members played! Jaron said, “I loved it, especially because I was able to conduct the orchestra players and get them to go faster and slower.”
The History of Music.
Year 2 looked at music in the 20th Century for our whole school topic on music through history. They then enjoyed visiting all the other classes in the school to find out about music in other eras as well.
