The Worrysaurus

Year 2 really enjoyed reading 'The Worrysaurus' by Rachel Bright and Chris Chatterton.

This book is all about a little dinosaur who has a lot of worries about little things and how he overcame them to allow him to enjoy himself.

We used this book to explore all our feelings and discuss any worries we had coming back to school after the lockdown. We made worrymonsters to put all our worries in and created butterflies to help us to think of different ways we could stop ourselves being overcome with worries.

As the Worrysaurus' mum says,

"Don't you worry now, my lovely,

you MUST try not to fret.

If it's not a happy ending,

then it hasn't ended yet."
