Year 5 Visit to the Science and Industry Museum
Year 5 enjoyed their visit to the Science and Industry museum. It was wonderful to listen to a talk on machines which linked to our learning of levers, pulleys and gears in Science. We also got to take part in some hands on experiments, where we investigated gravity and other forces.
Year 5 Visit to Media City - Sound Design and Engineering through Minecraft
Year 5 enjoyed their project with Salford University, where they were able to become 'Sound Designers'. This involved the children recording sounds around our school and also creating new sounds using voices and instruments. The children then went to Salford University and applied their coding skills to input these recorded sounds in to Minecraft.
