Icy Skyscrapers

For this investigation we observed that water changes state when heated or cooled. We were tasked with building the tallest tower out of ice cubes. We found this tricky as the Ice started to melt and it became slippy in our hands. This was due to our hands conducting heat.

We worked in small groups on our thinking mats to gather our own observations. We then decided on a sentence or image to sum up our ideas in the middle box on our thinking mats.
