Reception

Welcome to  Reception!

During your child’s time in the Reception class they will be supported by

Mrs Mc Fadden and  Mrs Culkin.

We are really looking forward to the journey ahead and following our mission statement:

'Growing together within God's loving family, we support, challenge and inspire each other to become the best that we can be.'

We hope our class page gives you an insight into all the wonderful learning that happens in our class throughout the year.

Number Day 2024: NSPCC

What fun we have had in our classroom! It was great to see everyone dressed up, I think we saw every number from 0 to 10. Some children dressed as Numberblocks and  Numberjacks, while others had mathematical symbols and  numbers on their clothes.

"Mrs Mc Fadden is three (Numberblock)" commented Zahin.

"Mrs Hanley is a dominoe, she is double six" says Tanju, as we joined the rest of the school in the hall.

There were lots of activities to choose from throughout the day including boat races, number spotter, making numicon cities, finding doubles, building houses for dinosaurs, number bond games and so much more!

During our maths we watched a live lesson, we compared number and made our own number bonds  using the numicon.
