Year Three took part in a super learning day all about the story the promise written by Nicola Davies.
Maths
Year Three first went outside to gather a selection of leaves. We went on a hunt for the largest, smallest, unusual, brightest in colour and as many different shaped leaves we could find. When we had gathered all of the leaves we came back into the classroom to compare them. We measured our longest and smallest leaves using a ruler. Once we had this information we created bar models to see the difference from our smallest and longest leaf. We then demonstrated our fraction knowledge by expressing our collection of leaves as fractions of amounts.
