Year 5

In year 5 for black history month, we have studied the story of Rosa Parks, an American and her fight for equality and justice. She boarded a bus in Montgomery, Alabama on December 1st, 1955, and as the bus filled up, she refused to move to the correct section designated for her skin colour. her refusal and resistance to the prejudice set in motion one of the largest social movements in history.

We were given the task of representing this story through the medium of art, we worked in groups and the ideas were collaborative. This is what we came up with.
