Year 2 have been reading and enjoying, "The Way Home for Wolf" by Rachel Bright and Jim Field.
We explored the character of Wilf in the book and discussed how he always thought he could do everything without any help from anyone else. We used drama to explore the feelings of the other characters when they discovered Wilf had got lost.
We were pleased to discover that Wilf eventually accepts help and he is able to find his family again. We discussed how it is ok to ask for help if it is needed and how nobody has to do everything on their own without support.
We looked at real life wolves and found out lots of information about them. Year 2 are now wolf experts! Did you know that wolves have a sense of smell 100 times better than humans and each wolf has a unique howl?
