In our first term, we studied how electricity is produced. We also learned how to create circuits out of materials such as tin foil, lemons and light bulbs. We found out about conductivity and insulating materials. Did you know that metals are conductive? This means that electricity can flow through them.
We created diagrams to show our circuits and used motors, light bulbs and speakers to build circuits.
We also attempted to create lemon batteries. Although they didn't produce enough power for a light bulb to light, we did have a long discussion about how circuits produce electricity and found that the nails we used corroded within the time we were experimenting.
