Year 6 had the day exploring music in the Tudor era. The children researched the style of music in Tudor times and the instruments they played. The noticed that many instruments were similar to ones we use today. From this information, the children created a slideshow and quiz.
After this then children were then introduced to Tudor dance. They focused particularly on one called the Pavane which they then recreated!
The children then practised their glockenspiel skills to create an accompaniment to Greensleeves. They had to read the music on the musical staves discussing high and low pitch notes.
