Music

This term Year 3 having been following a unit of work focused around 'Three little birds' by Bob Marley.

Throughout the unit children are investigating the pulse, rhythm and pitch of the songs through games. They will be singing the song as well as playing instruments to accompany it.

Watch this space for our performance next term.

Children enjoy singing sessions every 4 weeks! Singing is fun and helps increase memory muscle. Singing offers people another way to express their emotions and sharpens their ability to communicate!

We believe that singing and movement are at the heart of musical learning for our children. Children learn to respond to a number of pitched signals accompanied by hand-signs . These signals develop a child's sense of pitch. In the sessions children sing in unison, solo, with action and in rounds.

The lyrics for the songs your child is learning can be found in the above document
