Art and DT

Year 3 enjoyed their visit to Salford Art Gallery and Muesum where they took part in a workshop 'Colourful Creatures and Funny Fables'. The visit took place in the Victorian gallery where we studied the painting 'Aesop Composing his Fables' by Charles Landseer. We then retold some of Aesops fables and created our own to act out.

Maria said, "I loved seeing the Victorian paintings and sculptures."

Abby said, "My favourite part was creating my own fable and acting it out with my group."

Honey said, " I enjoyed retelling fables with the puppets, I recognised some of the fables we read from our Literacy lessons."

Adriana said, "I enjoyed making a collage using the different materials and bright colours."
