Oh I do like to be beside the seaside....

We had an amazing day in Southport. As we parked the minibuses, we saw the sea in the distance. The children were so excited and could not wait to explore the beach, they were given buckets, spades, scoops, rakes and moulds. What would they find?

Everyone was engaged in an activity, some children were working together to build sand castles, "we need to fill it to the top and pat it" said Arthur. Others were digging in the sand until they reached pools of water, the children were amazed by this.

"I found seaweed!" Shouted Zahin. The children began looking at the seaweed, "it feels slimy" said Aurora, "I don't like the smell," said Zahin.

As we walked along the beach we spotted 2 crabs and 3 jelly fish. Some children found different shaped, colours and sizes of shells and Juan was mesmerised by the seagulls. The excitement grew when we decided to walk to the seashore, it was further away than we thought! Never mind, we were still lucky enough to have a splash around, it was so much fun!

Time to relax with an ice cream before heading back to Salford!

We said goodbye, "I will miss the beach." Said Bleubelle.  It was a fantastic experience that everyone said they had enjoyed.
