In the first part of the Spring term in Literacy we have been looking at Science Fiction texts. We have explored lots of different stories during guided reading, have used drama to explore the actions and emotions of aliens visiting our planet and have played games to imagine how we might describe everyday objects if we were aliens.
What might things be like in the future? We love sharing our ideas, presenting them to the rest of the class and then asking questions to challenge thinking.

In English we have been studying a range of Legends from the British Isles and have been writing our own narratives by retelling the stories, writing letters to characters and creating newspaper reports.

During the second part of the autumn term we have been looking at stories with a historical setting. We have been looking at the classic 'Oliver Twist' and have taken part in a hot seating drama session to explore the different characters to help us with our writing.
