The Nowhere Emporium
Year 6 have been totally immersed in the story of The Nowhere Emporium. They have enjoyed the theme of magic and mystery of the characters and kept up with the story has it goes back and forth in time. The children have created great pieces of work based around the story including a poem about what they would include in their own emporium.
To understand the characters and magic of the story, the children used mime and freeze frame in a drama session. They created scenes from the prologue of the story and then used the images to create sentences with verb sentence openers. This allowed the children to fully feel how the characters felt - understanding the story fully.
