Autumn 1

The beginning of our journey! I am so impressed with how amazing our new children have been since starting at our school. They have settled in brilliantly and thrown themselves into this new chapter of their lives with ease. Well done Nursery, we are so proud of you all! laugh

As part of our topc "Me and My Community' we have been talking about our families. The children have been making pictures of people who are special to them and using play dough to show us their family members!

Outdoor fun while the sun decided to make an appearance!

Today in nursery we have been talking about friendships. The children have been busy in the friendship cafe making coffees, making friendship bracelets and mixing friendship potions!

We have been making leaf prints today in nursery and discussing all of the different colours we see during this season. The children discussed what their favourite colour is and why the leaves change colour during this time of year. This sparked their curiosity and the children went on their own leaf hunt during choosing time. They were very excited to show me what they found in our playground! We also have been busy exploring our school grounds for worms and other insects!

Our book of the week is "Leaf Man" so we decided to go on a leaf hunt in our outdoor area. The children were so excited to see all of the beautiful colours! 🎵 Autumn leaves are falling down, falling down, falling down. Autumn leaves are falling down, the season is changing!🎵
