The children gained vital knowledge at the Crucial Crew workshop which will help them as they become more independent in the community. Here the children listened to people from various companies who discussed appropriate behaviour in a variety of places and the consequences of poor decision making.

Greater Manchester Police
In this session, the children were introduced to what happens when people make the wrong choices in public. They looked at how there is a difference between items that are safe when used correctly but can also be used as weapons if not used correctly. Here the children decided which implements were purposely made or adapted to become weapons.
Travel Safe
Here the children learnt about the difference between crime and anti-social behaviour. The children had to decide between the two for different scenarios.
British Transport Police
The children were made aware about the dangers of trespassing on railway lines in this sessions. They learnt key information about the electricity dangers, speed of trains and how important it is to stand behind the yellow line on the platform.
MyBnk
This was an important session about recognising scam messages. The children were given example texts and had to decide if it was real or a scam. They realised that scam messages usually contain unknown numbers, spelling errors, fake websites and fake information in them.
