Art - Vista

Linked to our learning in Geography, in Art we have been looking at Landscapes.
We started by observing our local landscape - the landscape outside our classroom window - and sketched the urban scenes we saw.

Looking at some famous landscape paintings, we have been amazed by how realistic and photo like some of them are!

We have learned about atmospheric perspective and how this helps to add dimension to a landscape.

Many artists choose a colour scheme for their landscape in order to evoke warmth or coolness in their scene.
Using what we have learned previously about the colour wheel we have created colour combinations that could be used in a landscape painting.
