Animal Adaptations

As part of the adaptations learning, the children took part in an investigation looking at the differences in bird's beaks. They first learned about the different shapes of beaks and then used this to find out why beaks have different shapes. The children used a variety of objects to simulate the different beaks and used them to pick up objects. They found that certain 'beaks' were more suited to certain 'foods' which linked to their habitats and diet.
