Year 1 looked closely at aerial photographs and learned that they show places from above. The children explored a range of aerial landscape photos and practised identifying and labelling physical and human features such as fields, roads, rivers and buildings. This helped them to recognise landmarks and understand how places can look different when viewed from the air.
