Big Band Bop!
Our Year 3 pupils recently enjoyed an exciting musical adventure at the Big Band Bop concert, performed by the talented young musicians of Chetham’s School of Music. The lively performance introduced children to the instruments of the orchestra through the bold, energetic sound of a Big Band. Pupils were captivated by a range of music from around the world, including jazz, Latin and big band classics, and particularly enjoyed recognising familiar pieces such as Uptown Funk and music from Encanto. The concert provided a fantastic opportunity for children to experience live music, develop their appreciation of different musical styles, and deepen their understanding of how instruments work together to create powerful performances. It was a memorable and inspiring experience that sparked our enthusiasm and curiosity for music.
