Branch 3 - Galilee to Jerusalem

🍃🌿Galilee to Jerusalem🌿🍃

In Year 3, pupils explore the life and mission of Jesus as told in the Gospels, following his journey from Galilee to Jerusalem. Through stories, discussion, and reflection, children deepen their understanding of who Jesus is and what his life teaches Christians today. They learn about Jesus’ ministry in Galilee, including his teaching, miracles, and friendships, and explore key parables and stories that show how he taught people about God’s love, forgiveness, and the Kingdom of God. As pupils follow the journey to Jerusalem, they discover why this journey is so important for Christians and how Jesus’ actions and words continue to inspire how Christians live, pray, and care for others.

Throughout this branch, children are encouraged to ask thoughtful questions about faith and belief, make links between Bible stories and their own lives, and reflect on values such as kindness, courage, forgiveness, and trust in God. Learning is supported through scripture from the Gospels, prayer and quiet reflection, as well as creative activities, drama, and discussion. By the end of this branch, pupils grow in their knowledge of Jesus, develop their religious vocabulary, and begin to understand how faith can shape everyday life.
