Year 6 visited the Greater Manchester Fire Training Centre to take part in a safety workshop. The workshops allowed the children to gain an understanding of the importance of being safe in the wider community.
The children took part in activities which focused on when to call 999 and the consequences of hoax phone calls. They also learnt about fire safety in the home and left with an important message for their parents and carers to regularly check their home fire alarms. Along with the transport police, it was a successful day full of valuable and life-saving information which will help as the children become more independent.
