Year 1 have been very busy planting their own carrot seeds after learning about the story of Peter Rabbit. We talked about how Peter could grow his own carrots instead of getting into trouble in Mr McGregor’s garden, and the children planted their seeds carefully and responsibly. In Literacy, the children then wrote simple instructions explaining how to grow carrots, linking their learning in a fun and practical way. Everyone is very excited to watch the seeds grow and see what happens over the coming weeks!
